Should Vapes Be Banned To Save The Planet?

The popularity of ‘Vaping’ has increased dramatically in recent years. In the UK alone, it has doubled since last year. The environmental cost of using single use vapes is astounding; plastic, toxic chemicals and precious metals are being added to our soil and water in vast amounts and there are limited recycling opportunities. Even if they do find their way to a recycling centre, it is a lengt...

Iceland Slaughters 2 Fin Whales After Whaling Ban Lifted

Was the lifting of the ban a step backwards f...

I hope people can find a way to get Vaquita's to get comfortable with being in a tank in an aquarium, so they can breed in captivity. I know some of you guys may not like that option. But desperate times call for desperate measures.

I agree that killing an animal just for a single or a couple of parts should be limited. They should at least restrict the numbers and force buyers to buy the whole thing. Good luck enforcing this outside of Britain, unless you want your own version of the Viet-Nam war on all continents of the world but yeah, it should be discouraged as a practice to just hunt for a single body part in general and their products be restricted or banned where you live. The irony is that Orcas do hunt sharks for their livers, but the scale that they do it on is minute in comparison... but.. just like they also like to kick dolphins up in the air for fun or even generally kill for fun, I'd say that using the "humaine" argument to outlaw everything everywhere is just... juvenile. That kind of stuff works up to a certain point.

Definitely should. There should also be a concerted effort made to remove the enderlying causes of various addictions, namely stress, bad influences, the lack of a meaningful life beyond just making some corporate boss rich.

all those datas are quite unuseful... for example it seems that orcas "prefer" boat from 10 to 12.5m, but that is probably just the most diffused sailing vessel lenght... then, how many boats cross the ocean in that point? ... and again, regarding the color of boat, orcas "prefer" light colour yacht... I don't see too many dark coloured ones... and so on.

Orcas are sure to be reflexively aware of tides, she had got up the nerve to try going through the narrow channel that she had come through with her mother, got up the nerve to do it all by herself....but it would be a lot easier to use her courage to get out if she waited just a bit for high tide, and she knew it would work and she would be free again....all she had to do was wait just a bit, and like any two-year-old who has to wait for a bit she was 'bouncing off the walls'.

Folks, no worries. Everything will get much, much worse far quicker than anyone will publicly admit it. The time to stop global warming is past. If 2024 averages +1.8 degrees centigrade above pre-industrial temperatures, minimum +5 degree rise by 2100 and 20 meter rise in oceans within 100 years after that cannot be prevented.
